One time I couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t sensing the metal on the table. After purchase I have had nothing but the best service I have had out of any product I’ve ever purchased. All of my questions were answered without being taken away for the many phone calls or emails he had coming in. Initially I was hesitant as this is a significant investment for a hobby tool so there were many things I wanted answered. I thought about the quote I was given for a week and then returned and spent two more hours with Rene asking questions. He picked up his phone twice to silence it and focused solely on any questions I asked. I had heard about Fab-Cut and one day randomly showed up and asked to be shown their products. I had no idea how much I would be using it on an almost daily basis. I bought this as a toy to play with in my spare time until I retire. read more I purchased my 5x10 modular table in July and took delivery in August. Thanks Rene and Fab-Cut for Everything! read less We are extremely thankful to Rene and the FabCut team and couldn't picture a better company to have gone down this road with. This is the perfect representation of a true professional and kind businessman. I simply texted Rene a video to his personal cell phone.he immediately called me and in 3 minutes he diagnosed what I was doing wrong.I simply accidentally had my cutting oxygen cranked up to high. Finally, these past few days we were experiencing an odd cut result on our 2" thick plate. Our quality control has increased 100x, our lead times are cut in 1/4, and our pricing of our products to our clients is now very respectful. Here we are 1.5 years in, we are super extremely happy we made this decision. He coached us through it every step of the way and never got frustrated with us. We had no clue what we were doing, but he didn't mind. Rene is who we got in touch with, and he was extremely helpful from step A all the way through step Z. So, we made the big decision to get our own table. Hiring out was killing us due to having to wait excessively long lead times, very high price per hour charges, and having very little to no control of quality. We had always hired out from other shops. We had never ran a cutting table ourselves ever. table for cutting up to 6" thick steel plate. read more We purchased our first ever CNC cutting table from Fab-Cut about 1.5 years ago. I have had one minor issue with the table, the x-axis trips on an overcurrent fault. this is more than i can say for some of the companies that i have spent 6X more money on machinery with. Some times you may not get a call back for a few hours but they call. I have had excellent results and having an in house table has really helped my through put.Īccuracy seems spot on, I have not measured any thing with a dial as i have not felt the need too. I am approx 3 hour drive from their shop and it is easy to feel "good" about support knowing I can drop by if i need something. It may not be at the level of some units (Esab etc) but it is certainly more robust than some other units I looked into.Īgain, Canadian content was a major for me, as a small Canadian manufacturer, it is nice to support the local guy. It has proven to be an extremely easy to use and flexible system. The other part is up to you and the plasma cutter you choose. That said, I'm sure many will do a reasonable job of positioning. Most of the competitors that applied could not or would not quote on positional accuracy or repeatability of the units. In order to purchase this unit, I had to sell the idea to management first, and then go to tender with a technical specification. I am also 100% accountable to our customers and the Canadian Taxpayer. Because I work in the Federal Gov't ( crown corp.) I feel compelled to spend our money on small to medium Canadian companies. Ultimately it depends on how much you are willing to spend, and I really like the fact that it's a Canadian Company. Compared to Esab this was less than 1/2 the price. We were not interested in anything with rack & pinion, and we wanted a gantry style unit. Consider this: you get a heavy duty powder coated frame (that you could park a Mack truck on) top quality PC, high quality smart drives, plasma cutter and OneCnc software.
