This audiobook was provided by the author at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review. The parts of the child is donated to be used by people who need them. Explore a character analysis of Scout, the plot summary, and important. The book sells one million copies per year, and Scout remains one of the most beloved characters in American fiction. This book and the trilogy as a whole are definite worth a listen. Unwinding is a process where the teenager between the age of 13 and 17 is dismantled. To Kill a Mockingbird is Harper Lee’s 1961 Pulitzer Prize-winning novel about a child’s view of race and justice in the Depression-era South. Overall, the narrator did a good job giving unique and distinct voices to all the different characters and varying his volume based on what was happening in the book. I didn’t notice it in the first two novels, and thankfully, I didn’t notice it throughout the whole novel, just in a few specific parts. The only problem I had with this novel is that the narrator would pause in the middle of a sentence and that would break my sense of immersion. The characters act in realistic and believable ways, and even the antagonists are easy to get attached to. The author created a unique story, environment, races, and magic system, but what I enjoyed most was the unique and diverse cast of characters, who I’ve grown attached to throughout the trilogy. Although both have roots in Chinese philosophy, those two books are utterly different from each other. I’ve enjoyed this epic fantasy trilogy more than most due to the originality of everything. I’ve also read Unsouled and it is wonderful in an entirely different way. Kingsteel takes all of the events from the first two books and wraps everything up nice and neat, giving a satisfying conclusion to this epic fantasy trilogy. I will keep my eye on Micheal Meyerhofer in the hopes he will grow into his own and that we will some time in the future have a Fantasy writer that he gave us the hope he was in Watchfire (Book one of this Trilogy)Īn Excellent Conclusion to the Dragonkin Trilogy What does Craig Beck bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?Ĭraig Beck did a great job on the Narration. I have no idea what went wrong with books 2 and 3 of the Dragonkin Trilogy because book one was a well built universe and persona gallery with only minor annoyances. Yes, it seems odd for me to say this but he is. What could Michael Meyerhofer have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you? The Rowen in this last book is a boring 2 dimensional character that you really dont care what happens too. How many times do we have to know a certain fact before we understand that its an important fact. The ending leaves you wondering if someone cut 500 pages out of the book and didn't tell you about it. The Most useless and whingy Hero it has been my misfortune to read about. To much focus on minor story lines and inner monologue and not enough dedication to the main story. For example One moment a character is sitting and then the next line is: takes a step towards. There are so many things wrong with this last book of the Dragonkin trilogy that its hard to list them all but I shall try.
